Private Mobile Networks Are on the Rise: Highlights from the GSA 1Q25 Report and Opportunities for the Turkish Market

Private mobile networks are becoming a strategic connectivity model for organizations requiring security, low latency and greater control. GSA 1Q25 data and the Private 5G project at Istanbul Expo Center point to notable opportunities for Türkiye.

Corporate communications infrastructure is no longer measured by speed alone; security, customizability and localized control have become equally important. In this context, Private Mobile Networks (PMN) play a strategic role in the digital transformation of enterprises.

GSA’s June 2025 report shows how 5G and LTE-based private networks are positioned globally, while ADSYS is emerging as one of the pioneering companies contributing to this transformation in Türkiye.

ADSYS x Opticoms x Istanbul Expo Center: A First for Türkiye

ADSYS, together with its strategic partner Opticoms, is launching a private 5G mobile network infrastructure project for Istanbul Expo Center (IFM).

This project stands out as one of the first large-scale, sector-focused private 5G network implementations in Türkiye.

It has been designed to address high bandwidth, low latency and advanced security requirements across an event venue spanning approximately 96,000 m².

Key Findings from the GSA 1Q25 Report

Key highlights from the report include:

  • 1,772 companies and public sector organizations have deployed LTE/5G private networks worldwide.
  • Smaller-scale deployments in the €50,000–€100,000 range have also been tracked since 2024.
  • The United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, China and Japan are among the most active countries.
  • Türkiye is preparing to become one of the emerging players in this field.

Manufacturing Leads, but Event Venues Are Also Rising

Manufacturing holds the largest share of private mobile network deployments, with 352 customers.

However, sectors such as media, events, smart cities and healthcare are also growing rapidly.

The IFM example shows how 5G can be deployed in temporary yet high-density environments.

LTE or 5G? It Depends on the Need

  • 52% LTE only
  • 28% 5G only
  • 20% hybrid LTE + 5G infrastructure

Low-latency and high-capacity requirements make 5G the preferred option.

Which Spectrum Bands Are Used?

The CBRS band (3.5 GHz) is the most widely used spectrum in the United States.

In Europe, the C-band range of 3.5–3.7 GHz stands out.

mmWave use increased by 125% in one quarter.

In Türkiye, industry-specific spectrum allocation is also helping pave the way for this development.

74% Are Undisclosed Deployments: Security Comes First

In sectors such as defense, energy and logistics, 80% of deployments are not publicly disclosed.

This highlights the strong need for security in private mobile networks.

ADSYS: Secure Engineering for Private Networks

Whether for a manufacturing facility or an exhibition venue, ADSYS provides:

  • Low-latency communications
  • High-security and isolated network architecture
  • Design tailored to mission-critical applications
  • End-to-end engineering and deployment services

Conclusion

GSA data shows that private mobile networks are now part of the digital transformation agenda not only for global enterprises, but also for mid-sized organizations.
